Innovation doesn't stop at appearance. Sometimes it starts inside the joystick.
Our patented shaft system was developed to improve the feel, performance and customization of arcade controls while remaining compatible with the most popular joystick platforms.
Compatible with Sanwa JLF and other joysticks sharing the same shaft dimensions, including selected models from Qanba, Hori and Mad Catz.

Hate E-clips? Welcome to the club.
That's exactly why we designed the VampireMul E-Ring.
It replaces the traditional E-clip with a system that can be installed or removed in around 15 seconds, using only your fingers—no tiny clips flying across the room, no frustration.
Once installed, the E-Ring stays securely in place. The only reason to remove it is to adjust the spring tension and fine-tune the joystick feel to your personal preference.
When the E-Ring is aligned with the shaft, the joystick keeps the original Sanwa configuration, so players can enjoy all the advantages of the new system without changing the classic Sanwa feel they already know.

Need a stiffer joystick? No new springs required.
The VampireMul E-Ring lets you fine-tune the spring tension without replacing the original spring or installing heavier 2 lb or 4 lb alternatives.
Simply move the E-Ring slightly higher on the shaft to increase the spring preload. This provides a firmer feel, a faster return to neutral, and a more responsive joystick while keeping the original spring.
The adjustment range is designed to cover the stiffness most players are looking for while preserving the joystick's correct travel and mechanical operation. As with any mechanical adjustment, excessive preload is not recommended, as the spring still needs enough working travel to perform properly.
The system remains fully compatible with existing restrictor gates and standard Sanwa-compatible components, allowing you to customize the feel of your joystick without changing the rest of your setup.

Why settle for a fixed joystick height?
The Vampiremul Shaft System replaces the traditional M6 threaded attachment with a precision Allen screw mounting system, giving you complete control over the joystick height.
Whether you prefer a shorter throw for faster inputs or a higher grip for greater comfort and control, the system lets you tailor the joystick to suit your playing style.
This feature is especially valuable for competitive fighting game players looking for a shorter lever travel, faster execution, and a setup that feels truly personal.
The Balltop or Battop height can be adjusted over a range of approximately 10 mm. When using the optional LED system, the adjustment range becomes slightly smaller, as maintaining the LED at the optimal position ensures the best illumination performance.

The VampireMul Shaft System has been designed from the ground up to support an optional LED illumination system.
You don't need to decide on day one. Start with a standard setup and upgrade to LED lighting whenever you want, using the same shaft and the same mounting system.
The lightweight hollow stainless steel shaft allows the wiring to pass cleanly through the center, while a specially designed 360° rotating miniature bearing prevents the wires from twisting or breaking over time, even after thousands of joystick movements.
The LED module is available in 5V or 12V versions.
As with the standard configuration, the Balltop or Battop height remains adjustable. When the LED module is installed, the available adjustment range becomes slightly smaller to keep the LED in its optimal position for the best lighting performance.

FROM TATTOO TO ARCADE
Professional anodized aluminum Tattoo Grips have been specially adapted to work seamlessly with the Vampiremul Shaft System, bringing high-quality tattoo components into the world of arcade joysticks.
This modification makes more than 70% of the anodized aluminum tattoo grips currently used by tattoo artists compatible with our arcade joysticks, opening the door to a huge variety of custom designs, finishes, and colors.
We currently offer a wide range of models, including Tower, Phantom, Army, Meclex, and their respective 2.0 resin versions, all handcrafted from high-quality resin.
Our original anodized aluminum Tattoo Grip system remains fully compatible and is still available. Since then, the system has continued to evolve. Our latest 2.0 resin models—including the Meclex and Meclex 2.0—feature a new one-piece shaft design that provides a wider height adjustment range. This allows the Balltop or Battop to sit closer to the control panel, reducing lever travel and making it especially suitable for competitive fighting games.
